Are You Investing In the Right Products For Your Business?

Every time an Internet Marketing “guru” launches anything they normally do it with a bang. All of a sudden every where you turn there is this perfect product that will make you rich, give you everything you need, increase your list by hundreds per day, automate your life, make it happen! And you cannot live without it!

Or can you? Could you actually do without this new amazing product? How can you determine if this new product is for you? How do you know that you are investing in the right tools and products for your business?

What To Think of Before Buying a New IM Product

  • Ask yourself: is this relevant to what I am doing right now?
  • Is this something I will work on in the near future?
  • Will this have an immediate effect on my business?
  • Do I have the money for this and if not how will I pay it off?
  • Have I taken action on the last thing I bough?

Everything that glitters doesn’t turn into gold, just like every new internet marketing product won’t make you rich.  The product might be great but it will not benefit you unless it is relevant to your business and you take action on it.

How To Evaluate How Good Your Latest IM Product Purchase Was

  • Do you think it was worth the price you paid?
  • Have you taken action on at least half of what was suggested?
  • Have you seen an increase in subscribers/readers/sales etc because of the action you took?
  • Did the product pay for itself? (Did you make the money back?)
  • Would you recommend it to others?

Don’t just be a collector, use the products! Go through them in detail and take advantage of the information inside.

New products come out all the time and you should invest in your business, but only if it will be of true benefit for you.  You should be willing to invest and spend the money if you know that it is something you would take action on.

And remember; you can have whatever you want, it is what you make of it.

How do you decide if it is time to buy a new internet marketing product? When was the last time you bought something? Was it worth it and did you use it?

The Million Dollar Questions You Should Ask

How could you possibly change the life of someone else while improving yours? There are a few questions you should be asking yourself which can make a huge difference in your business: How can I help  today? What can I do today that would improve the life of someone else?

- “How can I help you today?”

That is honestly the thing I ask myself every time I reach out to someone. I am not doing it because I want attention. I am doing it because I truly want to help. I am a helper. It is who I am and it sure has its advantages. Imagine if I didn’t like helping people, I’d definitely say I am in the wrong business then. I’d do it even if I didn’t get paid for it. Thankfully I do.

The world is about giving and receiving. I believe that everything we do will come back to us.

Chris G asked: What Do You Talk About? which was the result of reading Chris B’s post Stop Talking About Yourself. Brilliant questions!

It’s not about you. It isn’t about me or my products or services.

It’s a bout them. The ones that needs you and your help. It’s about what you have that can help them.

No one becomes a millionaire because people decide to give them money for nothing. Although that can happen, but most probable is they have something people like that’s making a difference in someone’s life that is worth paying for.

So how do you tell about our services and products etc without only talking about you?

2 Short But Sweet Super Tips For Balanced Business Blogging

  • Recommend others and what they offer, but more specifically how it can help those looking for that specific answer
  • Be personal. Talk about yourself and what you do but don’t over do it.

That’s it. It is all about balance. Figure out who you are and how you want that to reflect on your business.  If you want to talk about yourself only please do. It could result in you losing business though. But if you don’t care about that then that is absolutely fine with the rest of the world.

Me? I want to help you. I want to find out what you want. So I put together a short little survey. You can find it here, please do take the time to answer it.  You can also email me with your answers (or questions) if you prefer.

5 Questions You Can Ask Yourself So You Can Help Others:

  1. How can I help today?
  2. What is this persons view on this?
  3. What does this particular situation make them feel and how could what I have to offer help right now?
  4. What valuable resource could I refer them to for them to find their answer?
  5. How can my personal opinion help in this matter?

It is fun to help. It is satisfying, energizing and it can be profitable. It depends on your approach I’d like to say.

Now I want to ask you: How can you help someone today? What can you do for someone who needs what you have? How helpful are on a day to day basis? Feel free to leave a comment and help the rest of the world get to know you.

So You Want To Market Your Business On The Internet?

Everyday I come across new online business owners who are trying to set up their business site. And everyday I feel sorry for at least a dozen of them. Because many of them will never succeed.

It’s sad but very true.

This is what is mostly done:

  1. A blog or site is set up on a free site so money can be saved
  2. They start joining lots of affiliate sites and put up banners on the site
  3. They join an open online group and hope someone will need their services
  4. Frustration starts to come and they start joining banner exchanges in hope of getting more orders.

Can you see how this is wrong? Well instead of concentrating on what is wrong let’s concentrate on how to actually do it. The recipes may vary but the ingredients are usually the same.

How to get started marketing your business online:

  1. Make sure you understand your target market and their needs. By knowing that it will be easier for you to create content for them when you start your site.
  2. Go get a domain name. Choose a domain name which includes your business name and go for the .com version. Not .net, .org or something else.  Recommended service for domain buying: Name .com
  3. Sign up for some reliable web hosting. Yes it will be worth cutting down on the Starbucks coffee for a few weeks (or whatever you spend your money on). Two reliable hosts: The $4.95/month option or the $6.95/month option. Both equally recommended.
  4. Set up WordPress and get yourself some a nice design. At least a nice header and logo.
  5. Learn how to use your new site to your advantage. That includes learning about keywords, writing for the web, affiliate marketing, online marketing, selling techniques, web traffic, copy writing, Search Engine Optimization and much more.
  6. Join a private masterminds group where you can discuss your online biz growth with other serious online entrepreneurs.

These are 6 easy steps anyone can take. It takes a lot of work once everything is set up but if you learn the right way you will find that it is easier than doing it the way most new online biz owners do as described in the 4 steps.

Do yourself a favor: set it up the right way from the start. It will pay off.
